Art Supplies
A beginning artist who signs up to take a college course
or community center class for beginners will need to have a variety
of art supplies. Although those who take classes that focus on a certain
discipline also need many supplies, the supplies they need are all similar
in what they do.
A beginning artist will need to have art supplies that assist in learning
different kinds of disciplines. Some of the art supplies a person might
need for a basic art class include:
• Graphite pencils – Most basic art classes will spend some
time focusing on sketching. Graphite pencils are often considered to
be good to use in the classes because the graphite can be spread round
the paper easily as people try to create shading.
• Oil paints – Even though there are different kinds of
paints that can be used, oil paints are one of the kinds of paints that
is often explored in beginning art classes. These paints are fairly
specialized though and require an exacting, traditional technique.
• Cameras –
Photography is often covered in art classes for beginners as well. Computer
software that alters photos has allowed photos and art to merge together
never more in recent years. Often these beginners’ classes will
allow aspiring artists to understand how things like aperture and shutter
speed can alter the photographs produced by a camera.
Although there are certainly other art supplies available, a person
should be prepared to have at least these basics when attending an art
class for beginners.
